Under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), with the theme “Redefining communications,” The Second Saudi International Exhibition and Conference for Internet of Things (Saudi IoT 2019) will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 13rd until 15th of February 2019.
 
With the objective of encouraging entrepreneurs to take their IoT ideas to the next level, Saudi IoT 2019 is unique for its spotlight on technology startups and emerging technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence (AI), especially within the framework of MCIT's broadband and 5G services initiative under Vision 2030.
 
Saudi IoT is the portal to unprecedented opportunities in the technology sector, which is on a path of exponential growth in KSA. Saudi IoT 2019 will showcase new and innovative concepts, offering opportunities for tech entrepreneurs and businesspeople to build partnerships with international firms. Global businesses will also benefit by being able to build a local presence through Saudi partners. This event is the only bridge of its kind between regional and international technology players.
 
Upon the launch of the first edition of Saudi IoT, Minister of Communications and Information Technology His Excellence Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha stated that MCIT is seeking to transform the Kingdom into a platform for Internet applications in the region and to explore the best ways to reach this through the transfer of international expertise and by facilitating access to appropriate funding. He also pointed out that the Kingdom has great opportunities in Internet of Things applications, especially since this market is still growing, and KSA has an abundance of human competencies of researchers, developers and experts in this area.

The event will feature leaders of specialized sectors in the fields of technology, communications, and digital transformation. It is organized by New Horizon for the first time and will take place at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
 
Saudi IoT 2019 will be the largest platform locally and regionally with the participation and supervision of the MCIT and over 200 local and international companies. On the sidelines of Saudi IoT 2019, "Cyber Defence Summit" will be taking place.
