The Arabian Petroleum Supply Company (APSCO) renewed the partnership and sponsorship of Mobil 1 rally team captain Mutaib Al Shammari contract to pursue his march and participation in a number of local races, including Hail International Rally and the 2nd round of the Saudi Desert Rally Championship, which will kick off later after Hail International Rally 2020.

Noting that Mutaib Alshammari finished the last season of his participation in the Saudi Desert Rally Championship in 3rd place in  T2 category, achieving a remarkable progress in his performance that enabled him to get  the points  required to stand at the crowning podium several times. .

In cooperation with his co-pilot Tariq Aramah, Alshammari was able to highlight his talents more in all rounds of the first local championship, which convinced his main sponsor, APSCO, to renew his sponsorship contract and grant him a comprehensive support to pursue his career in the world of rally despite the difficulty of competing in the T2 category.

Mohammed Islam, Marketing Manager at APSCO, expressed the company’s  satisfaction with the positive results achieved by Mutaib Alshammari, which made them renewed their  sponsorship and offered him their full support to achieve the championships and continue to stand on the crowning podiums in the new season.

On this occasion, Mutaib Alshammari expressed his satisfaction for the renewal of his contract with APSCO and placing Mobil 1 as part of the team’s name, and said:” I have achieved part of my ambitions by participating in the championship last season, and now I am ready to complete this ambition and achieve the goals especially to get the title of the championship in its 2nd season. I would like to take this opportunity to thank APSCO for its continued support, which spur my march towards the title of the T2 category."

He added: "My program for the new season starts by getting ready for participation in Hail Rally, which is the love of my life because it is being held on my land and among my audience. It is a great responsibility to win the rally, and I do hope that the new car that I will use in the rally will be up to the ambitions and help me achieve my goals, and spares me any mechanical defects. Of course I am taking advantage of my last season experiences to be able to win the championship title."
