Intex Technologies, one of the fastest growing mobile companies in the Middle East, has announced the launch in the GCC of its latest Aqua Amaze handset, which is packed with intriguing features such as the 1.4 gigahertz (GHz) Octa Core Processor, as well as 13 megapixel (MP) rear and 5 MP front cameras with a backside illumination (BSI) sensor at a remarkable price.

Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Bansal, Managing Director of Intex Technologies said: “The Aqua Amaze is truly a win-win for the smartphone-savvy customers of today as it also boasts a five-inch IPS/OGS HD display with full lamination, an Android KitKat operating system and a dual-SIM feature, all packed in an attractive price offering.

“With the realm of smartphones that exist today, it is essential to create something that not only stands out in terms of price, but compelling features, too. We believe that our effort to be part of such an ecosystem has been achieved with the launch of the Aqua Amaze. We hope to sustain this momentum as we continue to aspire for technological excellence.”

Aqua Amaze includes a smart wake feature and has an attractive slim design with impressive specifications such as 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM and 8 GB internal memory, on-the-go (OTG) support, smart gestures, proximity sensor, LED indicator and a stylish gift box design. Flaunting its dual-SIM, gesture recognition and a 2000 mAh battery, the phone supports Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth v4.0 for those who wish to be connected while on the go. In addition, the phone’s camera includes modes like Face beauty that enables the user to capture images in high-definition colours. This bundle of functionalities is expected to attract smartphone users during the festive season.

Intex Technologies, which was recently recognised by the UAE Superbrands Council as one of the country’s leading brands in 2014, has been making a name for itself in the regional consumer electronics market, where smartphone usage is among the highest in the world. According to a Google survey, smartphone penetration in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, for example, stand at 74% and 73%, respectively.
